I have not been neglecting my blog is just that alot of things have been going on that I havent had the chance to write here but theres a good reason. I went home.
My brother was graduating from University of Washington and fathers day was coming up and I WANTED nothing more to be there for my Poppie and my little brother so as a suprise my mom and I secretly made arrangements for me to go home without them finding out.
Now if you know my mother there is one thing that she can not do, keep a secret.
ME: Mom have you really not told anyone?
MOM: Well Ive told your tia's and the neighbors but your brother and father have no idea.
ME: You told all of them but not Adam and poppie.
MOM: I should get an academy award.
Needless to say it all worked out. After a longer than normal plane ride thanks to a long delay. I walked into my house to the complete suprise to the two important men in my life.
I wish I had a camera to take a picture of their reactions. My brother caught on the fastest but my poppie couldnt register the idea that I was in the living room when I was supposed to be in London.
He said he had never been that suprised in his life.
I had the best 12 days while I was home. My brother and I had some quality time togehter we went and saw star wars and Sin City, we went shopping but the best is when we went to the Zoo. We were complete dorks and I loved it, I think I can only be that dorky around my brother.
His graduation party was so much fun we had around 50-70 people who consisted of family and friends that turned up and we danced (well i did) and ate and even though it started raining half way through it really was a good time. My poppies cooking was the highlight but my brother's happy face was a close second.
I also had a chance to be there for my best friends graduation dinner from her masters in teaching program and spent the day with her and its just awesome to me that I have known this person and have been friends with her since I was twelve. Now shes an adult with a real job, its just a little wierd. We also tried to call my other best friend who is in Minnesota and no suprise but we got her voicemail.
We also went over the mountains to visit my tio y tias and cousins. I ate so much.I really dont know who I was especially when I got up for seconds, it just isnt me.
But I think it was the fact that I knew that I wasnt going to get food like this in London and I probably wont be able to get home till christmas.
The day before I left to come back I spent the day with my parents in downtown Seattle. We hit Pike Place Market and Alki beach, it was a gorgeous day in Seattle and I couldnt have been more grateful.
It was really hard for me to get back on that plane and not because I hate my life in London, I really do enjoy it and it was wierd because when I was in Seattle I got to actually see the changes that have happened to me in the amount of time that I have spent in London, that arent so apparent when am actually in London.
Its just the fact that I have to leave the people I love behind.
